hullo again

am using free internet at Singapore Airport.
Love this place!

Bad news... broke the media fast with a movie night with Rachel and then a binge on the plane.
Starts again right NOW!
Yesm (new fave way to say yes), am back on the fast! WOOT!

If yer wondering, this is what I indulged in during the 26hr break
'This is Spinal Tap' - Hil ARRRRR ious!!!!!
'The Court Jester' - Angela Lansbury in her younger days. Very funny.
about 50 minutes of 'House of Wax' - terrible... just terrible. howev, Paris wasn't as shocking as I thought she'd be.
'The Longest Yard' - Adam Sandleer. Very funny. Aparently a re-make of one of the same name in the 70's which starred Burt Renyolds as the quarterback. Howev, as I had not seen this, it felt like a complete rip-off of the lovely English 'Mean Machine'. Yes, it was still funny, but there was a bit of a hole due to the lack of pretty accents, subtle humour and SOCCER instead of US footy.
... there's more to come - it was a very, very long flight.
'Kath and Kim' 2 episodes. Very, very fun but with some excrucitating moments during which I had to change the channel - ie, Kim 'relieving' herself in IKEA using a vestibule which was INDEED part of a display.
... is vestibule the right word? I don't know now.
about a half hour of JLo's 'Monster in Law' - a little bit funny
dag, there was something else but I've completely forgotten. sorry.
ooooo 'Madagascar!!!!!!' - that was fun. not brilliant, but fun.
Anways, hoping you're all well and all that.
Sorry for dribbling the useless info.
Thanks for reading!!!!
God bless you all heaps and hepas and stacks!!!

doesn't time just fly....

ooooooo like a pigeon
brown and confused like meeeeee

OOOOOOOO, time just gooooooes
like I never wanted it to

And it stops where it will
When I'm most uncomfortable?
And it pecks me in the face

If you just stare up at time
It will poo in your eye

like my song???? made it up jesthen. Anyone else hearing the faint whisper of 'Grammy... Grammy'?
BA HA HA HA HA
So this year has rushed past like the Glory of the LORD when Moses was hidden
Actually, yeah, that's the best similie I can think of.
What happened?
1) God changed me
2) God gave me a bunch of new families
3) God changed them too
4) God continued the restoration of His people in the downtown eastside of Vancouver
5) I put on about 20 pounds

... the last one was irrelevant

Actually, maybe not as irrelevant as one may first assume. I think I physically look quite different than I did in October last year. And I'm becoming quite comfortable in this skin. That doesn't mean fat and lazy... well, I am fat... JUSTICE! yeah!
But dyoo know what I mean? God's shifted my focus so much from surface crap to His Great Commission. Sure, I don't want to be physically repulsive and say that God wants me that way. But I think when we start peeling off the make-up, swapping our 'fine linens' for simple garments, and (ladies!) thinking of respecting our brothers in Christ when we choose the way we outfit ourselves each morning... well, when we do all this, the veil of superficiality is lifted - a hinderance in the revelation of Christ's love in our lives is removed, and we clothed instead with Godly splendor, and the protection of a covering of Holiness can rest upon us....

okay, maybe that's reading a little too much into my new wardrobe... and yeah, perhaps a few of the changes in my dress are due in fact to lack of funding, rather than Biblical principles... but maybe, just maybe... I'm onto something

God bless and bliss you all excessively!
